Kids Academy | Educational Apps for Children

This is the time of year that my brain kicks into overdrive trying to keep the kids entertained. It’s warm outside, so they want to go play or go to the park. Well, I’m a work at home mom, so we have to wait until I get my work done. They want my attention and want to wine and cry, hoping I’ll give in. While I do give in sometimes, I usually don’t because I have dealdlines to be met. My solution is technology. They are limited with screen time, but when mommy is working, there are exceptions. I want to get the most out of this time, so I want educational apps for the kids. This is not an easy challenge. I have to play them before they can to make sure they are on level, yet challenging and not just full of junk. With Kids Academy apps, I don’t have to worry about that- they are definitely my go to choice.

This is my favorite app of all time. I am not a fan of math, and my son tends to pick that up, even though I try not to let him see it. My solution was this app. He gets excited, which gets me excited. He is a little ahead of most kids his age, but this app still challenges him. I can keep track of his progress and see what he needs help with and what he excells at. This is every homeschool mom’s dream!

Believe it or not, I play this app with both of my kids. The 4 year old does it by himself and the 20 month old and I play it together. It is helping her with her fine motor skills. I didn’t think it would work, but she likes watching it and seeing where her fingers go. The oldest loves shapes and likes collecting the fireflies in the jar as he completes challenges. This is the app that he cooses first. He loves playing his “shape game”.
